In 2008, Providence Health & Services provided more than $508 million in community benefit programs and services — an increase of
23 percent from 2007 — to address unmet needs in the communities we serve throughout our five-state ministry. Our commitment to keeping our communities healthy goes beyond providing free and discounted care. Working with local organizations, we are able to coordinate efforts to meet the most critical needs in each individual community and provide services that otherwise would not be available.
