Bereavement
Providence SoundHomeCare and Hospice offers bereavement support groups in multiple locations. Groups are led by a licensed counselor. For details, call 360.493.4667.

Beyond Cancer
When: 2nd and 4th Monday of each month, 1:30-3 p.m.
Where: Nisqually room, 2nd floor.
Description: This group offers emotional support and information for those coping with diagnosis, treatment and recovery from cancer. Also open to family members and support people.

Enhancing Life Through the Cancer Journey
When: Thursdays, twice per month, 6:30-8 p.m.

Description: A diagnosis of cancer is life-transforming. It can make you feel frightened and isolated. This support group is a safe place to talk about feelings that may be difficult to discuss with family and friends.

Family-to-Family: Mental health education program
Sponsored by the Thurston-Mason Chapter of the National Alliance on Mental Illness www.nami.org
When: Sessions begin in January, May and September each year. Classes are two-and-a-half hours, once a week, for 12 weeks.
Where: PSPH, Meeting room to be announced.
Description: 12-week program for families of individuals with mental illness (a.k.a. brain disorders). Taught by trained family members. Pre-registration required. All course materials are provided free of charge.

Grief Support Series
Providence SoundHomeCare and Hospice will offer a grief seminar series starting Jan. 13 from 10-11:30 a.m. at the Providence Chehalis campus, 500 N. Washington Street, Chehalis, WA. Reach to Recovery
Description: Reach to Recovery pairs a trained volunteer that is a breast cancer survivor, with a woman who has been diagnosed with breast cancer or who may be facing a breast cancer diagnosis. Through a one-on-one visit or a phone call, those facing breast cancer find the strength and resources to cope with their experience and to move forward as a survivor.
