Giving that Rebounds
For more than 30 years, Providence TrinityCare Hospice Foundation has supported the mission of Providence TrinityCare Hospice:
We compassionately enter the lives of individuals faced with the realities of suffering, loss, death and grief, to offer expert care and education, while respecting each person’s choices, values and beliefs.
We take in pride in the fact that we have never turned anyone away from hospice or our services due to an inability to pay or a lack of financial support. Our Foundation raises the necessary funds to make this level of care possible through gifts to the following programs and services of Providence TrinityCare Hospice:
No one is ever turned away from Providence TrinityCare Hospice due to an inability to pay or lack of insurance. For these patients, and for those who are underinsured, the Foundation provides assistance to make any and all of our hospice services available, including our TrinityKids Care program and Palliative Care services.
Some of our patients find their financial resources exhausted by a long illness. Necessities of Life assists in paying for basic essentials for the patient and their family. This may include assistance with rent, phone or utility bills, food, medical supplies, medications and medical co-payments. Partial financial assistance with funeral expenses is also available.
Palliative Care is a medical specialty providing expertise in treating the pain and other symptoms of a serious and life-threatening illness, and in supporting the patient’s family. The goals of care include assuring comfort and helping the patient enjoy life as much as possible.
Supporting a child with a terminal illness and their family presents special challenges. TrinityKids Care was created to assist infants, children and adolescents with life-limiting illnesses and their families in Los Angeles and Orange counties. It is the only dedicated pediatric program in the Southern California region.
The Foundation supports all aspects of the Gathering Place, including grief counseling, referrals, support groups, and outreach to schools, and the community. To help fund the support program, the Gathering Place asks for donations from professional agencies when asked to speak or provide professional training, but all support to the community is free and additional funding is provided by the Providence TrinityCare Hospice Foundation.
