Our Medical Centers have always had a special bond with their communities. Our neighbors helped build Providence Holy Cross and Providence Saint Joseph, and we are forging close bonds with our new neighbors at Providence Tarzana. Each Foundation has been a source of critical funding for each Medical Center; funding that would not otherwise be found.
The Providence Foundations enable each Medical Center to keep pace with advances in lifesaving technology while responding to the unique needs of our San Fernando Valley communities. As financial challenges in health care mount, our Foundations become more important than ever, helping to fund advanced medical technology and state-of-the-art facilities. They are the bridge between philanthropic community members, local businesses and corporations and our Medical Centers' needs.

Providence Holy Cross 50th Anniversary Celebration
On October 22, 2011, Providence Holy Cross Foundation hosted a 5oth Anniversary event at The Hard Rock Cafe, Universal City, CA. It was a rockin' good time as more than 200 guests dined, danced and helped raise funds for Providence Holy Cross Medical Center. To see photos from the event click HERE.

On June 28, 2011, Ramin Ganjianpour, MD, Holy Cross Orthopedic Surgeon, addressed an enthusiastic audience at Porter Valley Country Club.
Dr. Ganjianpour discussed how to maintain healthy joints and the latest advancements in joint replacement surgery.

Holy Cross New Wing Opening
On Friday, April 8th, 2011, Providence Holy Cross Foundation hosted an open house for the new Holy Cross South Tower. The event, attended by more than 200 Holy Cross physicians and donors, allowed a first look of the new facility as they sipped their drinks and nibbled on hors d'oeuvres, wrapping up the evening with a dessert and espresso bar.
Executive Director of the Foundation, Brian Thorne opened a brief ceremony, followed by Kerry L. Carmody, Board Chair Gerald S. Puchlik, Omaran Abdeen, MD (Chief of Staff), Albert J. Ghirardelli (Board member), Larry Bowes (Chief Executive PHC).

Holy Cross Golf Tournament
The Providence Holy Cross Foundation hosted their 40th Annual Golf Tournament at the beautiful and challenging Valencia Country Club on Monday, March 28, 2011.
The net proceeds will go to the equiping of a patient room in the new wing of Providence Holy Cross Medical Center.
