Providence Holy Cross provides high quality specialty services and has won several prestigious awards including the Magnet designation for excellence in nursing services. This Magnet Recognition Program®, awarded by the American Nurses Credentialing Center, is an impressive and important designation, bestowing national recognition on our hospital. This year we are celebrating twenty-five years of trauma care as one of only two hospitals in the San Fernando Valley with a Level II Trauma Center designation, verified by the American College of Surgeons. Our Chest Pain Center ranks in the top ten percent nationally for consistently performing angioplasty within 90 minutes of a patient’s arrival, meeting the guidelines established by the American Heart Association. As a result, Providence Holy Cross is an ST-Elevation Myocardial Infarction (STEMI) Receiving Center approved by the Los Angeles County Department of Health Services. As a leader in cardiac and thoracic surgery, Providence Holy Cross also was named one of Los Angeles County’s first designated receiving centers for victims of severe heart attacks. Our Cancer Centers’ five-year survival rates for patients treated for various cancers surpass national averages. And our new imaging center further enhances the ability of physicians and clinical staff to offer state-of-the-art diagnosis and treatment for a variety of illnesses.
