Neurosciences
Using the latest technologies, the Providence Holy Cross neuroscience team diagnoses and treats brain and spinal cord trauma, tumors, stroke, Parkinson's disease as well as other conditions affecting the brain, spinal cord and peripheral nerves such as multiple sclerosis and epilepsy.
We provide comprehensive care to patients suffering from neurological disorders through a range of specialty services, in both inpatient and out patient settings. Our multidisciplinary approach includes neurology and neurosurgery working with our support departments, including radiology and rehabilitation.
When working with cancer-related neurological conditions, our hospital team of neurosurgeons, radiologists, neurologists, medical oncologists, and radiation oncologists treat the patient collaboratively. The team provides expertise in the advanced treatment of brain tumors and helps to preserve neurological function for people with cancers of the central nervous system; these cancers include primary brain tumors and metastatic or secondary brain cancer.
Providence Holy Cross Medical Center is a Level II Trauma Center and a part of the Los Angeles County trauma system. Our Center has specialized programs, equipment and staff, including a trauma neurosurgeon, available at all times to treat patients who experience a catastrophic brain injury or a spinal cord injury.
