Community Support
As a not-for-profit Catholic health care ministry, Providence Health & Services embraces its responsibility to provide for the needs of the communities we serve, especially the poor and vulnerable. That is why, in 2009, Providence in Washington provided nearly $46 million in free and discounted health care to those in need, as part of our more than $170 million in total community benefit. We take great pride in our work, which continues the tradition started by the Sisters of Providence more than 150 years ago.
