Five Wishes Presentations
Five Wishes® is a planning tool created to assist individuals and their families answer end-of-life questions in a simple and clear manner. It requires no lawyer or other professional, and it is legal in 42 states including Washington.
Presentations on Five Wishes are offered by the staff of Providence Hospice of Seattle. If you would like more information about Five Wishes, please contact Providence Hospice of Seattle at (206) 749-7759 or email your request to hospiceinfo@providence.org. Presentations are custom designed for community members or healthcare professionals and are offered in one-hour sessions or tailored to fit your needs.
There is no charge for a Five Wishes seminar.

Hospice Volunteer Training
Interested applicants must submit a volunteer application and participate in an orientation interview prior to acceptance into the volunteer training program. For more information, call 206-320-4000 or 888-782-4445 (toll-free) and ask for Volunteer Services.
Volunteer Core Training
Core training is a four-hour training that provides an overview of hospice and volunteer opportunities. It prepares volunteers to attend training for patient care, bereavement, Camp Erin, and other volunteer programs, as well as to provide office support at Providence Hospice of Seattle. Core trainings are held on Tuesday evenings from 5:00 - 9:00 p.m. at the Providence Hospice of Seattle office. You must submit an application and participate in an orientation interview before attending this training.

Patient Care Volunteer Training
Patient Care Volunteer training is a two-day (9:00 a.m. - 6:00 p.m.) weekend training designed to prepare volunteers to work directly with hospice patients and families. Volunteers must attend Core training prior to attending Patient Care Volunteer training.
Upcoming 2010 Patient Care Volunteer training dates: May 15-16, June 26-27, September 18-19, November 6-7
Bereavement Volunteer Training
Bereavement Volunteer training is a two-day (9:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m.) training designed to prepare volunteers to support people who are grieving the death of a loved one. Volunteers must attend Core training prior to attending Bereavement Volunteer training. Call 206-320-4000 for more information.
