With more than 4,000 women and their providers choosing to deliver at Providence Regional's Family Maternity Center each year, we've grown to be one of the largest maternity programs in Washington state.
We're also a quality leader, with a Cesarean-birth rate below the national average. We incorporate new practices and the latest technology to deliver care that meets the highest standards of medical practice and family support.
Spacious, private birthing suites
Before, during and after the birth of your child, the Family Maternity Center is equipped to handle whatever needs arise. We have 52 single-patient, first-class birthing suites, as well as rooms for the specialized care of mothers with high-risk pregnancy complications and rooms for mothers with special post-birth needs.
Families experience the entire birth process of labor, delivery, recovery, and postpartum in one uniquely designed suite. Every suite is private and includes a private bathroom with a large tub, and a sleeping sofa for your support person.
Level III Newborn Intensive Care Unit
Sometimes babies are born a little too soon or under special circumstances. For these situations, Providence Regional has a Level III Newborn Intensive Care Unit (NICU). Operated in partnership with Seattle Children’s, our NICU is the only newborn unit north of Seattle that offers such an intensive level of care.
The NICU is located on the second floor of the Pavilion, and is staffed around the clock by caregivers with specialized training in neonatal care. They may be called to attend your delivery if there are any concerns regarding your baby’s well-being at birth.
