Translation: "On the 24th of September, 1851, we the undersigned bishop of Martyropolis and Coadjutor of the Bishop of Montreal, have interred in the crypt of the chapel of the Providence the Reverend Mother Emelie Tavernier-Sans-pitié, Superior of the Sisters of Charity of Montreal, deceased the eve, aged fifty-one years, seven months, and of religion seven years, eleven months and twenty-three days. The witnesses are the Reverend Fathers Billaudèle, Superior of the Seminary of Montreal and Jean Baptiste Saint-Pierre, Priest of the Seminary. [signed] J.B. St. Pierre, Ptre S.S. P.
