Senior vice president, accountable care and payor relations
Jack Friedman serves as senior vice president of accountable care and payor relations.
Friedman has served Providence for more than 20 years and has held the role of Providence Health Plan chief executive since 2000. He has managed the plan during years of stable and responsible financial management, along with membership and plan growth.
Prior to joining Providence, he was the executive director of the Greater Portland Business Group on Health, a coalition of employers dedicated to improving the cost and quality of health care. He also held leadership positions with Frank B. Hall Consulting and the Portland Business Journal. Friedman is a winner of the Portland Business Journal’s CEO of the Year award for health care.
He holds a doctorate in anthropology from Rutgers University and a bachelor’s from the University of California at Berkeley.
