A dedicated team of Providence Oregon employees will depart for Guatemala as part of a Providence Health International service trip, May 11-18. They will install new cooking stoves to improve ventilation in many homes in the village of Sehaquiba – watch this video to see what’s in store for them.
In these impoverished communities, a family's only way to prepare food is to use an indoor, open fire that produces a thick smoke in the home – causing acute respiratory infections in women and children under the age of five.
Support your co-workers as they reach beyond our borders to reduce serious health hazards for those who are poor and vulnerable in Guatemala.
