Since this is my 4th visit to Viet Nam as a member of the nurse training team, my expectations were not so much a question, but could we achieve all we were expecting. And indeed, in Ho Chi Minh City, we trained, examined, and tested 12 CPR and PALS trainers over five full days. As no monies are allowed for education, this has involved significant sacrifices and arrangements on the part of Pediatric Hospital #1 in Ho Chi Minh City……Upon my return I received a March of Dimes Humanitarian Award; and I speak to three classes at Chugeak High School every semester. People also tell me I am their inspiration for going on medical missions….
