Providence Little Company of Mary Medical Center San Pedro is a non-profit hospital serving the Los Angeles Harbor and greater South Bay communities since 1925.
We are a medical center large enough to provide excellent, state-of-the-art services, yet small enough to offer personal and compassionate care. Our 356-bed facility admits nearly 7,000 patients each year, treats more than 35,000 patients in our Emergency Department, performs more than, 2,500 surgeries and welcomes an average of 700 babies to the world. The first in the South Bay to earn the Gold Seal of Approval™ from The Joint Commission for Advanced Primary Stroke Centers, Providence Little Company of Mary Medical Center San Pedro is a first-choice destination for ambulances to transport a patient with symptoms of acute stroke, within 30 minutes or less. We are the sole acute rehabilitation provider for the South Bay and Harbor communities providing patients who have experienced serious disabling conditions such as stroke, brain injuries, neurological illnesses or major orthopedic conditions with the care necessary to help them regain their independence. Our Recovery Center specializes in the care of the chemical dependent patient and our Bridges Psychiatric Services focuses on care for seniors battling any number of mental health issues. Both of these specialty programs have inpatient and outpatient services available.
