Olympia Heart Services
Dedicated teams of physicians, nurses, caregivers and support personnel work together, offering you all the care your heart needs in one place: the Providence St. Peter Regional Heart Center.
Providence consistently beats the national benchmark for prompt heart attack treatment by more than 50 percent. In fact, Providence ranks among the top 10 percent of hospitals nationwide. Quick, skilled treatment is proven to reduce the damage to the heart muscle and increase the likelihood of recovery.
Exceptional Facilities for Exceptional Care
The region's best cardiac outcomes begin with exceptional facilities and proven treatment protocols. This means improved patient care from the moment a patient arrives at our state-of-the-art Emergency Center.
Emergency Center
In fewer than 60 minutes, patients suffering from heart attack are triaged to the Cardiac Catherization Lab, well under the national benchmark of 90 minutes. Quick treatment significantly increases the likelihood of recovery while minimizing permanent damage to the heart.
Critical Care Unit
Our 21-bed unit is staffed by a team of highly skilled professionals, all specially trained in the art and science of treating cardiac patients. A higher nurse-to-patient ratio and patient-centered care means patients and families receive education and support that are vital to successful recovery and discharge.
Plans are underway to expand this unit, allowing us to continue to serve the growing number of patients who turn to us for care.
Telemetry Floors
As patients recover from surgery, heart attack or other serious heart problems, they transition from the Critical Care Unit to one of our Telemetry floors. This allows for increased monitoring and nursing care, while also beginning to ready patients for home or skilled nursing care.
