Women's Services

Obstetrics

At Providence Holy Family Hospital, we believe that all parents-to-be deserve options. That's why our Family Maternity Center has developed special programs that offer the types of choices you desire and help better prepare you and your family for the addition of a new member. We try to help make the birthing experience as easy as possible for the whole family.

Orthopedics

Osteoporosis (thinning of the bones) affects thousands of women each year. Our orthopedic department serves these women, as well as offering sports medicine programs specializing in prevention, treatment and rehabilitation of women's injuries.

Cosmetic Surgery

Cosmetic surgery has come a long way in recent years. While some people consider cosmetic surgery an alternative means to achieving a more desirable physical appearance, others turn to cosmetic surgery to alleviate pain and discomfort. Face lifts, thigh and buttock reduction, tummy tucks and eye procedures are a few of the specialties offered by Holy Family physicians.

Urology

Bladder control problems are a sensitive subject for many people. We offer some of the latest technologically advanced equipment available, including laser for the treatment of these problems.

Gynecology

We encourage our patients to have an annual check-up and gynecological exam, including a blood pressure check, and a physical exam in which a physician examines the thyroid, breasts, abdomen, pelvis and rectum. The annual exam also includes a pap smear with any additional tests ordered by the physician. Consultation and surgery, if necessary, are available at Holy Family.

Mammography

If detected early, breast cancer is one of the most curable forms of cancer, thus mammograms are encouraged for our patients. Mammograms are performed at Holy Family through our partner, Inland Imaging, and regionally on the Providence Women's Coach.

Health Education

CHER (Community Health Education Resources) provides a variety of educational and support classes for women. Prepared childbirth classes focus on nutrition, exercise, breathing and relaxation techniques and the birth experience. For more information on classes and support groups, visit www.cherspokane.org.
