Providence Genetics Clinic
Genetic counselors provide consultations for pregnant couples and couples who are considering a pregnancy who may be at risk for having a child with a birth defect, learning disorder or genetic condition because of a family history, personal history, ultrasound finding, advanced age or serum screening test.
A genetic consultation will help the family understand genetics and the diagnoses under consideration, their perception of the risk and the burden of the disease and their options for additional evaluations and consultations.
